Greetings, and I hope you all had a lovely 4th of July weekend. This month, we’re thrilled to announce that Flipping The Script Productions is officially a sponsor of the 2025 League of Historic American Theatres (LHAT) National Conference, taking place later this month in Pittsburgh, PA!
Happy Pride Month! At Flipping The Script Productions, we’re taking a moment to honor and remember the LGBTQIA+ artists, audiences, and pioneers who have actively and historically shaped the theatre world into what we know and love.
Let’s turn our attention slightly downtown, to Off-Broadway, where another kind of remarkable story is unfolding.
Five years ago last month, Broadway went dark. Museums closed their doors, concert halls fell silent, and stadiums stood empty as the world grappled with the sudden onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recently, I came across an insightful article in The Daily Beast titled “Female Playwrights Are Finally Taking Over Broadway Stages.” The piece highlights the increasing prominence of female voices in theater, a development that resonates deeply with our mission.
This month, and next, we are looking for ways to highlight the diverse voices that make theatre world what it is.
As we turn the page from 2024 and step into 2025, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey we’ve been on together.
This month, we are excited to once again place a spotlight on the incredible writer behind Someone Close to You, Melissa Borgerding.
This month, I am excited to shine a light on our incredible writer and director duo again!
I am excited to share a heartfelt conversation I recently had with James A. Goins, the talented director of our upcoming production Someone Close to You.
I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits! I’m thrilled to bring you another exciting update on the journey of Flipping The Script Productions.
Recently, I sat down and had a conversation with our team about my personal thoughts on the play Someone Close to You. We spoke about the roots of the show and what inspired me to work on this project with Melissa.
Thanks for your patience. This is coming a lot later than you may have expected. Frankly, it’s coming a lot later than I had hoped.
