Dear Friends,
I find myself still reflecting, with no small measure of gratitude, on the evening of March 29th.
Our presentation of Peter Filichia’s Musicals Without Music, under the thoughtful guidance of George Andre Tittle, proved to be a success! The audience was generous in spirit and seemed wonderfully receptive to our experimental piece. There is, it seems, a particular pleasure in encountering these familiar works anew, divested of their scores and revealed in a different light.
For those who were unable to join us - or who might want to relive the evening - we are looking forward to sharing a video recording in the coming weeks! Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for updates…
We are presently considering what further life Musicals Without Music might enjoy, whether in an expanded format, additional presentations, or otherwise. Should you have thoughts or suggestions, I would be interested to hear from you. It is, after all, through such exchanges that projects like this find their fullest expression.
In the same spirit, our work continues on Someone Close to You, a piece I remain deeply committed to developing. As we look ahead to potential next steps - readings, workshops, or future productions - we welcome dialogue with those who feel drawn.
It remains our goal at Flipping the Script Productions to give voice to stories that might otherwise go unheard. Evenings like March 29th serve as a welcome reminder that there is, indeed, an audience eager to listen.
