Greetings, and I hope you all had a lovely 4th of July weekend. This month, we’re thrilled to announce that Flipping The Script Productions is officially a sponsor of the 2025 League of Historic American Theatres (LHAT) National Conference, taking place later this month in Pittsburgh, PA!
The League of Historic American Theatres is a professional network for organizations working to preserve and operate historic performance spaces across North America. Through its various programs and services, the League helps its members strengthen their businesses and, in turn, the communities that surround them.
From practical support like the Historic Theatre Insurance Program and the LHAT Employer Health Program, to invaluable resources like supplier directories, policy manuals, and member forums, the League is playing a vital role in the theatre community.
Just as important, the League is fostering connection through network opportunities like their Annual National Conference. This annual event is the largest gathering of historic theatre professionals in North America. Venue owners, operators, programmers, artists, and more are invited to network, socialize, and learn from each other for four days.
Not only am I excited to support the event, but I am also looking forward to attending and learning from others' wisdom.
For me, this sponsorship is personal. Long before founding Flipping The Script Productions, I spent many years working in the field of historic theatre preservation. That work - preserving Broadway’s iconic Biltmore Theatre - instilled in me a deep respect for these spaces and the stories they hold. It's part of what led me to create FTSP: a home for new voices and bold storytelling.
Even the oldest theatres are filled with modern stories. And this conference is a powerful reminder of the role these buildings play, the individuals that make it all possible, and the stories they hold within themselves.
