George Andre Tittle, Director

George Andre Tittle directs for both the camera and the stage. He studied film and drama at Syracuse University's College of Visual Performing Arts. A disciple of the late Mike Nichols, he strongly believes in doing as much preparation and script analysis as humanly possible. And then he likes to do some more. He strives to utilize all the tools of theater to create an experience that engages and entertains.

He works primarily from a theme. And puts great emphasis on realizing the physical life of his productions, in service to his playwrights.

He strongly believes directing is always about what's changing. And that great directing isn't something you see. It's something you feel.

Favorite productions he has directed include Ira Levin’s Deathtrap, Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, and Samuel Beckett’s Waiting For Godot.

An artist who is passionate about the art and craft of directing, he tells his students he has two goals in life. Goal #1 is to be a good director. Then, if he ever manages to accomplish Goal #1, Goal #2 is to become an even better director.
